LAHORE - Lahore Chatkhara defeated Adisseo 8-7½ in the RHI POLO CUP 2014 thrilling main final here at the Lahore Polo Club on Sunday.

Both the team played well and in the end, even Adisseo’ half goal advantage could not save them to face half-goal defeat in the hands of Lahore Chatkhara. The first chukker saw Bilal Haye of Adisseo smashing superb two goals while Shah Shamyl Alam scoring one field goal by his solo effort as the half ended in 2-1 in favour of Adisseo.  In the second chukker, it was all Shamyl hammering three back-to-back goals, first through 40 yards penalty hit, second field goal by his solo efforts and third field goal by a lofted shot. The score at the end of second half was 4-2 in favour of Lahore Chatkhara.

The third chukker was identical to the first one as Bilal Haye once again proved his credentials and slammed two goals - 40 yards penalty goal and field goal by a lofted shot – to reduce the deficit but Shamyl hit a goal to maintain his team’s lead as the chukker ended in 5-4 in favour of Lahore Chatkhara.

The fourth and last chukker was full of thrill and some smashing goals from both the sides which provided very entertaining moments to the spectators. The chukker saw three goals each from both sides. It was Amar Khalid who scored the equaliser for Adisseo through field goal by his solo effort to make it 5-5. Shamyl then exhibited his prowess and hit three back-to-back goals once again to increase his team’s lead to 8-5. Adisseo players then played aggressive game which paid off in the dying moments of the match as they managed to score two goals one each from Bilal Haye and Irfan Sheikh but they failed to contribute more to save their team to face a half goal defeat despite having a half goal handicap advantage. The match ended 8-7½ in favour of Lahore Chatkhara.

In the subsidiary final, Silver Hawk proved too hot for Magic Riverto beat them easily by 4-1. Bilal Hayat Noon scored two goals while Agha Musa and Omar Asjad Malhi added one goal each for the winners. For the losers, the only goal came from Adam Khan.
