Terrorists can’t succeed in ‘designs’: Malik

ISLAMABAD - Former interior minister and PPP Senator Rehman Malik has strongly condemned the brutal attack of terrorists at Wagah border, Lahore.
In a statement on Sunday, Malik said that no words were strong enough to condemn the cruelty and brutality of these terrorists.
“Such attacks are aimed at destabilizing Pakistan but we will not let these inhuman and enemies of the country succeed in their nefarious activities and malicious aims,” Malik said.
He said militants cannot be appeased; they must be condemned by every Pakistani especially the political leadership of the country.
Malik hoped for rapid and absolute elimination of terrorism and extremism from the land of pure through the Zarb-E-Azb.
He prayed for those who have lost their lives, expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for the early recovery for the injured.
Senator Rehman Malik has asked the government about the reality of Jandullah - the emerging dangerous terrorist organization. The PM of Pakistan must call a joint session of parliament to disclose information about Jandullah and also tell the public about it.
Malik urged that it is the time of unity and not confrontation, “we as nation must stand united along with Pakistan Army to defeat terrorists,” he said.
He asked the law enforcement agencies to enhance their role during Moharram so that any any unfortunate incident of terrorism could be foiled timely.
