LAHORE - National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday asked Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to submit assets details of Nawaz Sharif’s sons Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz.

NAB sought details of Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz’s commercial and residential assets as well as identity card numbers of Nawaz Sharif’s sons.

NAB will also write a letter to other concerned departments if needed. The Bureau has already frozen the assets owned by Hassan and Hussain .

An accountability court has already declared Hassan and Hussain as proclaimed offenders last month for not appearing before the accountability court over the corruption references filed against them.

PIT central Leader Abdul Aleem Khan has said that NAB proceedings against him were solely political victimisation as he bought a recognised housing society in 2010 which already had all documents and NOCs.

In a statement, Aleem Khan said that there was nothing wrong with this housing project till 2015 but when he contested election against Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in 2015 the Government asked all the departments to proceed against him.

Aleem recalled that High Court had suspended all notices against him declaring them as politically motivated.

“I am in the Opposition for the last over 10 years while Mian Shahbaz Sharif has been the Chief Minister; and if he had done anything wrong why no action was taken against him?”, Aleem questioned.

He said that real face of “Sharifs” had been exposed to the whole world and now they wanted to settle scores though such tactics.

He added that LDA and SECP started their working after 2015 on the clear instructions of the present government.

He alleged that the present Mayor of Lahore who was Coordinator of Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was the main applicant to the Lahore Development Authority.
