Zero tolerance policy stressed against corrupt practices

BAHAWALPUR - No nation can make progress without eliminating the menace of corruption. Corruption is the biggest evil Pakistan is faced with. Zero tolerance police against corrupt persons is needed to put the country on a path to prosperity.

These views were expressed by newly-posted Director Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) Bahawalpur Imran Raza during an exclusive talk with Daily the Nation here the other day.

He said that no one is above the law, adding that corrupt elements do not deserve leniency. Corruption gives rise to other evils in society, he said and added, “It destroys the national economy.” He said that the ACE is playing its due role to eliminate corruption from Punjab province. He claimed that all the anti-corruption officials are directed to investigate cases on merit without taking any pressure. He said the ACE aims at eliminating corruption from all the state-run departments. He claimed that corrupt officials are punished as per the law without any discrimination.
