14 flights cancelled

Unrest in the country disrupted flight operation at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIAP) on Friday. Fourteen flights were cancelled while a few others were delayed. On Thursday, the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) directed its passengers to report earlier at airports keeping in view the unrest in the country. A spokesman for the airline said passengers traveling abroad should reach the airport five hours before departure of flights while those travelling by domestic flights should reach the airport four hours prior to their flights. The spokesman said the decision was taken to make sure that passengers take their flights on time.  The affected flights were from Lahore to Karachi, Rahim Yar Khan, Chitral, Sialkot, Kuala Lumpur and Jeddah.
