LAHORE Outgoing US Ambassador Anne W Patterson made a farewell call on PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif at his Raiwind residence on Saturday. According to a press release, relations between Pakistan and the United States came under discussion. The US Ambassador reiterated that her country would continue to play its role for the rehabilitation of the flood-affected people. US Consul General Carmela Conroy was also present. Online adds: Nawaz Sharif, while warning that the drone strikes are straining Pak-US ties, said no one would be allowed to damage the countrys sovereignty. He said the drone attacks were producing negative effects for Pakistan as he asked the United States to formulate policies while keeping in view the services rendered by Pakistan for the bilateral ties. Recalling Pakistans vital role in the war against terrorism, he said Washington should help Pakistan in rehabilitating the flood-devastated areas. Patterson lauded the role played by the Punjab govt in rehabilitation of the flood affectees.
