PESHAWAR In back-to-back three US drone attacks, at least 18 people were killed and several others got injured on Saturday in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan Agency. Sources said that US unmanned aircrafts targeted Datta Khel locality in almost all the three attacks by hitting suspected militants hideouts. In the first attack, at about 9am, two US drones reportedly fired four missiles targeted a militants compound at Inzar Kas village in Datta Khel area. As a result, at least 10 suspected militants were killed and four others got injured. Besides, the targeted compound was destroyed completely. Soon after the attack locals took part in relief activities and pulled all the dead bodies out from the debris. In the second attack, a US unmanned aircraft struck another home allegedly used by militants at Tirmara village in Datta Khen area in North Waziristan Agency. The drone fired two missiles and at least four militants were killed. The number of injured was not ascertained, however, the sources said that house fired at was destroyed completely. It is stated that tribesmen were busy in pulling out dead bodies out from the debris, when another US drone fired two missiles on a vehicle in the same locality. As a result, four militants were killed and two others injured. In less than seven hours, the US drones fired at least eight missiles in all the three back-to-back attacks on suspected militants hideouts. The sources said that it was believed that some foreigner militants have also been killed in these attacks. Furthermore, they said that number of casualties could be accelerated. The three continuous attacks by US drones created panic among the people of the area, as Datta Khel has been under constant drone attacks for the last many days.
