The district police arrested 77 criminals including proclaimed offenders and gangster and seized huge quantity of illegal weapons and narcotics during a crackdown in the month of September.
According to the Khanewal DPO, the district police conducted a vigorous crackdown on criminals in the month of September and arrested 77 criminals. He said that the police also recovered illegal weapons from the outlaws and registered cases against them. The DPO informed that the seized weapons included three Kalashnikov, four rifles, 58 pistols, three revolvers and hundreds of bullets.
According to the DPO, the police also registered 36 cases of narcotics and arrested 38 drug suppliers during the corresponding period.
The police arrested 31 gamblers and seized 962 litres of wine. The DPO also informed that that on the directives of the high-ups, the police carried out a special campaign against non-registered vehicles and impounded 3243 non-registered motorcycle.
