Hardly any television talk show or program starts or ends with a positive note. There is always the persistent barrage of bad news, and one feels depressed and powerless after a prolonged stint in front of the TV screen. In a situation like this, it is advisable to listen to news on the radio, or internet, instead of spending time listening to useless arguments, where nothing of substance is ever said. The Pakistani society must cut down media time, to reduce their stress and anxiety. It’s important to know what’s going on, but not to an extent that it ruins ones day and mood. Watching television should be banned in offices during working hours, because it is noted that most of the people placed at the helm of affairs keep watching television, and they get irritated over petty official issues or sometimes they lose their patience and become vindictive.
