LAHORE - A ceremony was held to mark the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Peoples Republic of China at the Aiwan-i-Karkunaan-e- Tehreek-i-Pakistan under the auspices of the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust in collaboration with the Pakistan Movement Workers Trust.

Congratulating people and the government of the China, NPT Chairman Rafique Tarar said that Pakistan and China had a long history of friendship based on mutual trust and respect. “China is a true and trustworthy friend and companion of Pakistan. Pak-China friendship is looked upon as a glorious example to be imitated among the comity of nations. Pak-China friendship is loftier than the Himalyas, deeper than the ocean and sweeter than honey,” he added.

Tarar observed that Pakistan and China had stood by each other through thick and thin. He also observed that Pakistan and China must work together in order to frustrate imperialistic designs and targets in the region.

Those who attended the event were Dr Rafique Ahmad, Begum Majeeda Wyne, Begum Bushra Rehman, Ch Naeem Hussain Chattha, Maulana Shafi Josh, Khwaja Farrukh Saeed, Dr Parveen Khan, Ghazala Shaheen, Aziz Zafar Azad, Nawab Barkaat Mahmood, Syed Asad Ullah Khan, Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Secretary Shahid Rasheed and other dignitaries.
