ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's young squash star Asim Khan Thursday went down fighting against Adam Murrills of England 3-2 in the JSW Indian $10,000 Circuit 1 Championship first round in Jaipur, India. Asim lost the first game 10-12, but bounced back in the second winning 12-10, before losing the third 3-11. Asim never lost hope and after tough fight, he managed to win the fourth 11-9 to take the match into fifth and deciding game, which he lost 5-11. But it was a relatively good day for Pakistan female squash as future medal hope Sadia Gul started her campaign in style and brushed aside local favorite Hritika Malhotra 3-0 to set up second round clash against Chloe Mesic of France. Sadia settled down well in the match and won the first game 11-4, second 11-1 and the third 11-4.–Staff Reporter
