JUI-F LEADERS OPPOSE POLITICS

OF SIT-INS

Central Deputy General Secretary of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Aslam Ghauri said the political parties which were making efforts to change the government by violence, sit-ins and bloodshed had shattered.

Talking to the party delegation at his office here on Thursday, he said the JUI-F had always struggled for the supremacy of parliament, constitution and democracy. History shows that the party had fought conspiracies with determination.

Ghauri said in August, few elements tried to weaken the sovereignty of the country by practicing the foreign agenda and even involved Pakistan Army in this conspiracy. At that stage, JUI-F keeping in view the people’s interest defended the constitution and democracy in a better way. He said the parties which brought the people on roads and misguided them with the slogans of independence and revolution marches were now finding a safe passage for exit.

Talking about the ongoing targeted operation in Karachi, he said the political, religious parties, business community and civil society were not satisfied with the outcome of the operation as the law enforcement agencies were arresting the innocent people on the basis of suspicion.

Ghauri said the LEAs personnel in plain clothes had arrested JUI Information Secretary Allah Noor and his brother Abidullah from their houses in Pak Madina Colony in Federal B Area but no agency had disclosed their arrest yet. He demanded the authorities to release all the people including the JUI-F leaders who were arrested on the basis of suspicion.
