Rawalpindi - Street crimes have surged to a dangerous level as gangs of dacoits looted people in different localities of the city.

According to sources, a man namely Malik Adeel Mubarak lodged a complaint with Police Station Waris Khan that his sister came to bazaar for shopping in her car where a gang of robbers intercepted her and snatched her purse containing Rs25,000 cash, 2 mobile phones and other documents. He sought legal action against the criminals.

Similarly, Syed Wasif Ali appeared before Police Station Banni and told that he went to a bakery in his car for buying confectionaries when two robbers came on motorcycle and stolen his bag from car that containing Rs55,000 cash, mobile phones, 2 gold rings and documents.

On the other hand, a house maids allegedly stolen Rs400,000 cash and other gold ornaments from the house of Muhammad Qamar Nawaz in Sadiqabad.

Another citizen lodged a complaint with Police Station Waris Khan that unknown burglars broke into his house and made off with Rs70,000 cash, gold ornaments and licenced pistol and a mobile phone. In Naseerabad, robbers stormed into the house of one Anwar Jamal and made off with Rs40,000 cash and prize bonds worth Rs75,000.

 Meanwhile, car jackers lifted two motorcycles from the limits of Police Stations Banni and Pirwadhai. Police registered cases and started investigation.
