GEI rejects allegation of corruption for LNG import

PESHAWAR - Global Energy Infrastructure (GEI) rejected allegation that Turkish Global Company has paid huge sums of money to Zuhair Siddiqui former MD SSGC and Dr Asim former minister Petroleum and Natural Resources for pre-qualification as exporter of LNG.
In a press statement issued on Friday the company clarified that allegation is false and malicious and they have never been part of any corrupt practice or act. “Our group always acts under strict internal guidance of highest ethical standards which ensure that we will never be part of any corrupt practice” the statement said.
The statement further said that Global Energy Group is foreign investor in Pakistan developing an LNG import project in Pakistan and responsible international corporate entity and adhere to the highest standards of ethics and propriety.
The group has an established track record of energy trading internationally and holds licence in multiple European countries.


The statement informed in the tender launched by SSGC tender for integrated LNG project for which the company was technically qualified on merit of our terminal location, design and have experience in similar large scale LNG projects but we need no favour nor we demanded any favour.
“Global Energy Group has full faith and trust in Pakistan and it is committed to serve Pakistan best national interest. We will continue to comply with all local laws, rules and regulations applicable on our project and our project companies” statement added.
