The parents of victims of serial sodomiser have called upon the Prime Minister and Punjab Chief Minister to take prompt action to ensure provision of speedy justice and deterrent punishment to the child abuser.

They also demanded an impartial inquiry into the traditional slackness of the police and stern action against the child abuser Shahid Imran alias Chairman, who, they claimed, has been sent to the jail without completing the investigation. They alleged that if an imperial inquiry is conducted, accomplices and facilitators of the accused would also be arrested.

Addressing press conference, parents of four victims along with other villagers said that the accused has not only abused minor boys but also some girls. They presented the list of poor parents of other twenty six boys and three girls who were abused by the accused during the past some time. However, parents of these victims remained reluctant to lodge FIRs due to some pressure and to save their image in the society. They further said that the affected parents are being pressurised not to lodge FIR. They have also regretted that after ten days of registration of three FIRs on the charge sodomy, the Vanike Tarar police have registered another case under section 293 PPC against the accused on the basis of nude and vulgar pictures of the victims found in his cellphone and computer. They demanded that the computer, laptop and cellphones of the accused should be taken into custody by another agency as they doubted that the police might delete important evidence from these equipment. They also accused the police for deliberately delaying DNA tests of the victims and the accused.
