Samee elected GCCI president

Lahore - The newly elected President of GCCI Samee Ullah Ch has spelt out his priorities for the coming year at Annual General Body Meeting of Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The newly elected office-bearers including Chaudhry Sami Ullah, Iqbal Shaheen and Sheikh Abdul Rauf assumed the charge in AGM. They were elected unopposed president, senior vice-president and vice-president respectively of the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Samee Ullah Ch, who is also former Senior vice chairman of the REAP, pledged to work for the cause of business community. He said that GCCI would give priority to the issues like shortage of energy, with-holding tax on banks transactions, high cost of doing business and shortage of skilled labour. He paid rich tributes to former office bearers for discharging duties loyally to the Gujranwala Chamber.
He also announced formation of an Advisory Committee comprising leading economists, technocrats, leading businessmen, bankers and former presidents of GCCI that would guide the government as to how the economic revival could be achieved in shortest possible time.
Former president chamber of commerce Khawaja Khalid Hassan presented the annual report which was passed by the members of executive body.
