Seven persons including four women and a minor girl were killed in different incidents of violence, enmity and road accidents on Friday.

In Gujranwala, a woman along with her minor daughter was crushed to death by a speeding train on Friday.

The woman, whose identity could not be confirmed, appeared to be 30-year-old. She was crossing the railway track near Gondlanwala railway gate. All of sudden a fast moving train crushed her along with her three-year-old daughter.

The rescuers shifted the dead bodies to the hospital. The police have started investigation into the incident.

In Jhang, a man was gunned down over a children quarrel in Mauza Kaki Nau Soom situated in the remit of Waryyamwala Police. The children of Muhammad Ramzan and his cousin Muhammad Arif had a quarrel. At which Ramzan flared up and fired indiscriminate gunshot on his cousin and his family. Resultantly, Arif died on the spot and his wife Zainab, son Ghulam Abbas and two relatives Imran and Raheel sustained critical wounds. They were admitted to hospital where their condition is stated to be stable. The police reached the scene and took dead body for autopsy. The police have registered a case against Ramzan.

In another incident, a girl was axed to death. Reportedly, one Anees Haider, a resident of Mauza Farid Mehmood Kathia wanted to get married with Sumera Fatima, daughter of Irshad of the same village. However, the girl parents were opposed to the proposal which flared up Anees. He along with his two accomplices including Shahid and Hadi Raza armed with axes entered the house of Sumera and axed her to death. The Waryyamwala Police have registered a case against the accused.

Meanwhile, a young man died from snakebite. Raja Ahmed Din, a resident of Chak 204/JB was building a mud wall of his home when suddenly a snake bite him on the foot. He fell unconscious and was being taken to Allied Hospital Faisalabad but he breathed his last on the way.

In Kasur, a girl and woman died and three persons got injuries in two mishaps on Friday. A girl lost her life after receiving electric shocks in Ellahabad.

Bilquees Bibi,18, a resident of Nizampura, Narain Singhwala got severe electric shocks while trying to switch on water pump at her home. She fell down and died on the spot. In another incident, a rashly-driven truck collided with an auto rickshaw loaded with passengers, killing a woman and injuring three others including a woman. The truck driver managed to escape from the scene.

Fozia Bibi of Talwandi along with her brother boarded the ill-fated auto Rickshaw to visit a doctor. When they reached Ellahabad, a speeding truck hit the rickshaw. As a result, Fozia Bibi, her brother Ali Raza, their close relative Bushra Bibi and rickshaw drive Wali Mohammad sustained injuries. They were rushed to hospital but Fozia succumbed to her injuries on the way to hospital.
