FM Qureshi briefs PM on his US, UK visits

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed confidence over the foreign policy of his government, however, he directed the Foreign Office to be vigilant and adopt a proactive approach to meet the challenge to the country's foreign policy including swift answer to anti-Pakistan propaganda. He was talking to Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi who met him and presented report of his 10-day long visit to US and UK. The prime minister expressed the hope that due to strategically right decisions taken by Pakistan would ensure peace and stability in the region, including Afghanistan. "Pakistan is sincere and committed to peace in Afghanistan and desires  a government in Kabul which may reflect the aspirations of the people of Afghanistan", he said. Official sources told The Nation that Qureshi the PM briefed in depth about his talks with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss and said Pakistan’s stance on core issues was presented before them. The foreign minister also briefed the PM about the overall foreign policy challenges and strategy to meet such challenges.

He also briefed the PM about his meetings with foreign ministers of a number of countries on the sidelines of the UNGA session.

 

The Prime Minister was also briefed by the FM that a dossier on IIOJK prepared by Pakistan  has been shared with over 100 countries of the world.

 

Prime MInister Imran Khan  noted with satisfaction the dossier has reached globally and expressed the hope it would build up pressure on India.
