ISLAMABAD - Entry of 'political orphan', Mushahid Hussain Sayed, who had earlier betrayed Nawaz Sharif, into Aiwan-e-Sadr can put the security of the country at stake. The PPP central leaders Babar Awan and Farzana Raja said this in a joint press conference here at Zardari House Tuesday. They said all the political parties of Sindh and Balochistan had extended full support to PPP nominated candidate Asif Ali Zardari as their consensus presidential candidate. Senator Babar Awan said Zardari would be the third president among political persons including Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Fazal Elahi Chaudhry, and would emerge as chain of all the four provinces because of his relationship with Benazir Bhutto. He accused certain political forces and elements, which wanted to sustain dictatorship, of launching propaganda campaign against Zardari. He said that political forces and public at large had rejected all that and wanted to see Zardari in Presidency. He said now a political orphan, Mushahid Hussain Sayed, whose father served General Yahya, wanted to enter Aiwan-e-Sadr with the help of Chaudhrys of Gujrat, adding the political forces would reject him and his security money would stand confiscated in the election. He said Zardari would become the president on September 6 in the same way as Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had become the president, adding Asif Zardari like Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto would retain leadership of the party with him. "We expect from Mian Nawaz Sharif and his party that they will review their decision about candidature of Justice (Retd) Saeeduzzaman Siddiqui. We believe in the politics of reconciliation and accommodation," he remarked. Farzana Raja claimed that 90 per cent people were supporting Zardari in the presidential election and wanted him to be the next president of the country. She said Pakistan had been passing through 1971 like situation after the martyrdom of Benazir Bhutto but Zardari saved the country by raising the slogan of "Pakistan Khappay". When Asif Zardari will be elected as the president of the country, Aiwan-e-Sadr would become the symbol of Federation, she added.
