KARACHI - Pakistan Railway (PR) has decreased the railway fares to twenty percent, the new fares would be imposed from first Ramadan to 15th, as the notification on this regard has already been issued to all the divisions, said the railway official. According to the railway official in Karachi Division, the train fares 20 percent cut during the Holy month of Ramazan is being put into effect from first of Ramadan (Tuesday). The PR official said that the 20 percent cut in train fares would be available for trains running within the country only, while the inter-city passengers could not avail of this facility, similarly, the new fares would not be implemented on goods trains. Meanwhile, the railway department on Tuesday also started the advance booking for Eid. The passengers, who reserve their seats for later than the said death line, could not avail the facility, as the new fares would only be imposed till 15th of Ramadan', said railway official.
