LAHORE-Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer has said that he has forwarded the names of prospective judges to the President Asif Ali Zardari with his recommendations, earlier sent to him by Chief Justice Lahore High Court. Talking to newsmen after inauguration of a picture exhibition organised by a non-political organisation, 'Hum Loag at Alhamra Art Gallery in connection with IDPs of Swat here on Wednesday, the Governor said that Punjab Chief Minister had no Constitutional role in appointment of judges, and hence he (Governor) had sent the names to the President without formers recommendations. Talking about rehabilitation of the IDPs, he said that it was biggest achievement of Federal govt to send back the affected people of the troubled region to their homes with safety. He said victory against terrorists in Swat and Malakand was the outcome of govts best strategy. Taseer said that rehabilitation of IDPs was a great challenge before the govt, which it faced with courage and accomplished the task.
