LAHORE - Health Department Punjab, with the collaboration of World Health Organisation (WHO), has started training programme for the officials of the department for Logistic Support System to prepare estimates of future requirements of medicines for flood affected districts and to maintain proper record of its consumption. WHO has provided software along with the computers while 25 pharmacists and computer operators of the affected districts are participating in the training programme. Secretary Health Punjab Fawad Hassan Fawad said that the officials, after completion of training, would be posted in their concerned district where they will perform the duties of preparing estimates of future needs of medicines of the affected population. They will also maintain complete record of medicines consumption. It will be helpful for making future planning as well as maintaining transparency in the use of medicines.
