KARACHI - Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) Chairman and MNA Sahibzada Fazal Karim on Sunday alleged that religious extremism in the country was the outcome of Afghanistan jihad.Talking to the media persons, after offering the fateha on the grave of late Shah Ahmed Noorani Siddiqui in Karachi, Sahibzada Fazal Karim said that America wants to destabilise Pakistan by supporting extremism and terrorism, while the promotion of sectarian violence is also a part of the US agenda. He urged the government to immediate take bold steps to foil the conspiracy of United States against the country and warned Pakistan would face dangerous situation if government failed to control extremism in the country.He said that a specific community was being targeted in the country by terrorist elements to weaken the country and create anarchy. Fazal Karim said that Pakistan was facing worst economical situation because of the govt policies, saying that the wrong policies of present government had aside the Pakistan at International level. Commenting over the reconciliation polices of the PPP’s govt, he said that the present govt wanted to rule the country. but they are not  interested to address the challenges being faced by the country.
