ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader, Shaukat Basra has said that South Punjab will become a province as the government is enjoying two-third majority in both the houses of the parliament.
Expressing views in a private TV programme on Sunday, he said if the PML-N opposed the creation of new province in Punjab, the people of South Punjab would also reject them in the coming elections as it is the demand of the Seraiki people.
The PPP leader said that behaviour of the ruling party in the Punjab Assembly is not positive and the Chief Minister does not attend the proceedings of the house for month.
He said that Arsalan Iftikhar case is the blackest case of the judicial history. He added that providing separate justice to Arsalan Iftikhar and PPP is murder of justice. He said that the nation had expectations from the judiciary as the whole nation had freed it.
Shaukat Basra said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had tried Benazir Bhutto but the Supreme Court has stopped the NAB from trying Arsalan Iftikhar. Is this justice, he questioned.
