ISAMABAD  - The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has allotted six shops located at food court area of popular recreational place Lake View Park, which were constructed by the civic body, to blue-eyed persons against rules and regulations.

Moreover, Municipal Administration Department of the civic body has issued allotment offer letters of shops in the food court area.

Sources said that these shops were being given at Rs 25,000 monthly rent under the allotment licence while according to rules the said shops were to be awarded to Restaurant China.

The sources further said that six shops were allotted to three influential persons against rules and regulations including member parliament, leader of ruling party and a high rank official of the civic body.

On the other hand, CDA officials claimed that allotment was done in accordance with rules as expression of interest were invited from companies and offer letters were approved by chairman CDA Farkhand Iqbal after a scrutiny committee headed by Member Administration selected three persons.

It may be mentioned here that lake view park is a popular recreational place thus these shops are of great importance from business point of vew.
