MULTAN - The PML-N divisional coordination committee has evolved lists of probable candidates for the upcoming general elections from Vehari, Lodhran, Khanewal and Multan districts. Sources said that the committee convened here the other day and interviewed a number of ticket-holders as well as aspirants of tickets here at Circuit House.

The committee was consisted of Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Rana Mashhood and provincial minister Ch Abdul Ghafoor, who discussed the situation of different constituencies and evolved lists of strong candidates from all those candidates where either the PML-N failed to field a candidate or its candidate lost.

Sources said that the list would be presented to PML-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif who would finalize the names of candidates.

According to details, the committee reviewed the names of probable candidates from four out of six national constituencies and eight out of 13 provincial constituencies. The names of Abdul Ghaffar Dogar and Mazhar Abbas Ran were included in the list from NA-148, Javed Ali Shah NA-152 and Dewan Ashiq NA-153. However, NA-151 was left blank, although Malik Asim Dehar was interviewed by the committee.

Similarly, the names of Muhammad Bilal Butt, Moen Riaz Qureshi, Sheikh Athar Mumtaz and Malik Anwar Ali were written for PP-194, Mian Shahzad Maqbool Bhutta, Shahid Mukhtar Lodhi and Muzaffar Yaseen for PP-198, Barrister Muhammad Ali Khokhar and Rana Naem for PP-199 and Qadir Nawaz Sangi an Zahid Hameed Gujjar for PP-200. Sources said that Sardar Muzaffar Mahmood Khan from PP-213 Kabirwala, Muhammad Jaffar Sargana PP-212 and Dr Syed Khawar Ali Shah NA-156 were also invited for the interview.
