Pakistan expo in Uzbekistan in Nov

SIALKOT - A three-day single country exhibition of Pakistan will be held from November 20 at Uzexpocentre Tashkent in Uzbekistan. The exhibition was being organized on the eve of 20th anniversary of the establishment of Pak-Uzbek diplomatic relations with the support of Embassy of Pakistan Tashkent, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Chambers of Commerce and Industry Uzbekistan (CCIU) and Dimension Group of Companies Pakistan.
Sources in TDAP told The Nation that the main themes of the exhibition was sports goods, surgical industry, stones and gems, textile, tourism, textile and textile training industry, furniture, gold and jewellery, handicrafts, IT software, leather and footwear, marble industry, agriculture, art and fashion, food products, mass media, TV and film industries, carpets and rugs, cooking wear and crockery items and beauty and other related products etc.
The basic concept of holding of this single country exhibition was to further enhance trade activities between Pakistan and Uzbekistan and to provide an opportunity face-to-face interaction to the businessmen of both the countries as well as provide a highly congenial atmosphere to Pakistan-based companies to showcase their range of products and services to the various income groups of Uzbek population who are greatly fond of Pakistani products.
A wide range publicity campaign of the proposed single country exhibition had already been launched by the organizers and brochures and other material pertaining to exhibition were being distributed among the trade bodies of Pakistan.
Door-to-door drive against dengue held: The district administration officials including the district coordination officer distributed anti-dengue pamphlets to the people at their doorsteps during a campaign launched on the directions of the Punjab chief minister on Sunday.
Observing the Anti-Dengue Day, the staff of health, environment and TMA Narowal took part in the campaign. DCO Narowal Ahmed Ali, EDO Health Dr Khalil Akhter, TMA Administrator Muhammad Arshad Baig and TMO Ejaz Ahmed Butt distributed the awareness pamphlet to the people and told them how to protect themselves from dengue.  The health department team took samples from different places from the city and analysed them on the spot to detect dengue. Dengue Brigade carried out pesticide spray.
