LAHORE - Australian High Commissioner Peter Hayward will visit Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) headquarters at Gaddafi Stadium on Monday (today).
Pakistan Cricket Board chief Zaka Ashraf has invited him as special guest to the unveiling ceremony of World Twenty20 Cup uniform prepared for Pakistani team for the mega event to be held in Sri Lanka from September 18 to October 10. It is hoped that Chairman Zaka Ashraf, who is working hard to bring international cricket back to Pakistan, will discuss with the distinguished guest to ask Australian team to tour Pakistan to end the international cricket isolation as no team visited to this country for security concerns after the terrorists attack on Sri Lankan team.
Earlier in a function held in Rawalpindi the Australian High Commissioner as a chief guest on the final of Physical Handicapped Series, played between Pakistan and Afghanistan on July 16 had demanded the Australian government to send their team to tour Pakistan as there is no security fear in the cricket-mad country. Later, Australian High Commissioner Peter Hayward and Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Zaka Ashraf will address a joint press conference after the ceremony of uniform prepared for Pakistani team for the World Twenty20 Cup.
