LAHORE - Chief of Punjab Community Dengue Mobilizer Campaign Shaista Pervez Malik said that we are taking dengue eradication move as a way to serve people and seeking blessings of Almighty Allah. She said that Punjab government has initiated Dengue Volunteer Scheme to involve students and concerned citizens for eradication of the menace and sure about the success. She said this while addressing a seminar here at Govt. College of Technology Railway Road.
Chairperson TEVTA Arif Saeed, Principals and students of TEVTA Institutes and Officers from TEVTA Head office also participated in the seminar.
Chairperson TEVTA Arif Saeed, in his address, said that dengue is a challenge for us which we all will eliminate from our area. TEVTA has taken all appropriate steps for the eradication of dengue menace at 365 TEVTA Institutes across the Province of the Punjab. Surveys were conducted scientifically to access the needful action to be taken and accordingly plan was designed to educate the students and staff of all TEVTA Institutes for eradication of dengue.
Chairperson TEVTA disclosed that waste construction material has been removed from sites where construction was in progress or carried out previously at anywhere under the TEVTA jurisdiction across the province of the Punjab.
Medical Officer TEVTA Dr. Farrukh Gulzar informed the participants that committees constituted last year have been activated to look after the measures and still to be taken in the light of all the instructions conveyed time to time by the Authority.
