P&D redesigned website launched

LAHORE- Punjab Planning and Development Chairman Irfan Elahi has said that the new version of website of the P&D Department will not only keep up with the demands of the citizens for transparency, greater engagements and inclusion but it shall also empowered the general public by allowing them to view the ongoing a new schemes.
He said this while addressing the formal launching ceremony of newly redesigned website of the Punjab Planning and Development Department on Tuesday.
P&D Provincial Secretary Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary, Punjab Information Technology Board Chairman Omer Saif, P&D Senior Chief Coordination Javed Latif, E-Government Director General Sajid Latif and other officials of P&D and PITB also attended the ceremony.
Irfan Elahi said that the official website of the P&D Department had re-vamped and the new version has now been launched today in collaboration with the PITB and P&D Department at the Arfa Software Technology Park.
He lauded the efforts of Punjab Information Technology Board. “The website is an epitome of the digital era and depicts the standardised E-Governance Model required to cope with the tremendous and continuous changes in the dynamic ICT environment,” he added.
He also expressed that the systematic and comprehensive menu of this website is expected to introduce the departmental activities and its efforts. The website is hosted on a platform based on a proven content management used worldwide for deploying secure, reliable and approval based content workflow; thus allowing a secure hosting environment, he added.
