QUETTA - Three miners were killed in two separate incidents in Marwar and Machh areas of Balochistan on Sunday. In the first incident, two miners were busy working in a coalmine in Marwar area, some 25 KM away from Quetta when a portion of the mine caved in. Consequently, both trapped and died before being rescued. The victims were identified as Wali Khan and Abdul Karim while their bodies were dispatched to their native towns for burial. In another incident, a miner namely Haroon was working inside a coalmine in Machh area some 50 KM southeast of Quetta when he was hit by a trolley that resulted in his on-the-spot death. The deceased was an Afghan national and his body was sent to Afghanistan. Meanwhile, unidentified people shot dead two people near Dalbandin area of Chagai district on Sunday. According to Levies sources, Muhammad Azam and Saadullah, residents of Quetta, were passing from Aminabad near Dalbandin town when unknown armed men who were following them opened indiscriminate fire on their vehicle. As a result, they received critical wounds and died before reaching hospital. The assailants managed to escape from the scene.
