LAHORE Police investigators have resolved the blind murder mystery of a 45-year-old man who was found beheaded from Hanjarwal police area in February last. The police have arrested the wife and brother of the deceased in connection with the gruesome killing. The police investigators said that they had begun investigations into the blind murder incident, shortly after they recovered the beheaded body of a 45-year-old man from Hanjarwal police vicinity on February 10, 2011. The investigators got fingerprints of the deceased and collected the record from National Data Base and Registration Authority (NADRA), which held police identify the deceased. He was identified as Muhammad Nasarullah son of Rehmat Ali and resident of (251/A) Muslim Town Lahore. SSP Investigation constituted a special team under the supervision of SP Sadar comprising Inspector Shafique-ur-Rehman Incharge Investigation Hanjarwal and other police officials. The police team collected more particulars, evidences and interrogated the wife and brother of the deceased in connection with the killing. During investigations, it was proved that the deceased had been killed by his wife Mumtaz Bibi and brother Saif Ullah. Wife of the deceased and younger brother of Nasarullah later confessed to the police investigators that they had slaughtered the man in a cold blood. Police investigators said that wife of the deceased had developed illicit relations with his brother and bother had planned to finish in episode. The killers also confessed to the investigators that they had slaughtered Nasarullah with a sharp-edge weapon (saw) and threw his head and body at different places late on that night to mislead the police. The police collected the body parts and removed the body the morgue for autopsy after registering a case against unidentified killers. The police have also recovered the killing weapon from their possession. Further investigations are underway. Man killed in accident: A 24-year-old man was killed, shortly after his car smashed into a roadside electric pole due to over speeding near Firdous market in Naseerabad police area, police said on Sunday. Police investigators said that resident of Tajbagh Mohammad Awais was on his way home when his car (LXL-7367) hit a roadside electric police due to over speeding. It was terrible accident as entire front of the car was totally damaged, a police investigator said. He further said that the man died on the spot while the rescue workers managed to pull out his body from the car after cutting doors of the vehicle with the help of special cutters. The police later handed over the body to the deceased family. Further investigations are underway.
