KARACHI - MQM chief Altaf Hussain on Tuesday called on the civil and military leadership and Parliamentary Committee for National Security members to take the people into their confidence about the issues of Nato supplies and drone attacks, current economic condition and other problems facing the country.
The MQM chief asked the civil and military leadership to inform the masses about their requirements, difficulties and compulsions on the issues of Nato supplies and drone attacks, keeping in mind the demands and apprehensions of Nato countries and other developed countries.  Hussain was of the view that irrelevant and ambiguous statements should not be made (at this crucial stage). He said that due to advancement of information technology, the IQ level of not only youth but children had enhanced. “They cannot be taken in (over the national issues).”
Hussain said that being a student of history, he would ask the civil and military leadership, establishment and members of the PCNS that a sustainable solution could not be evolved ignoring ground realties. “It must not be forgotten that dangers do not disappear by covering the face in the sand like ostrich.”
Concluding his statement, the MQM chief said that living nations made pragmatic decisions in light of ground realities.
