SWABI - A two-day books exhibition was held at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Science and Technology on Tuesday.

Students and academia took keen interest in the inaugural session of the exhibition. The book fair was organized by the Institute central library. Four leading book sellers from Islamabad and Karachi displayed about 3000 titles on engineering, IT, history, politics, current affairs, literature, biographies, Pakistan affairs and dictionaries. The students and faculty members visited the fair and selected books for library and personal use. Students and other visitors took keen interest in the books related with different disciplines of engineering education. A large number of male and female students and faculty members purchased books on subsidized prices.

The booksellers said that the selling trend have encouraged them.

They said that they were quite happy with arrangements made and support provided by the GIK Institute, which enabled them to hold the exhibition. “Such fairs reduce gap between the knowledge seekers and booksellers. We always guided both academia and the students,” said one of the sellers.
