RAWALPINDI - Irregularities in the results of primary and middle standards of the Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) have created unease among parents, students and teachers.

According to details, a large number of students who were present and attended their exams are shown absent in the results. Moreover, the PEC’s website has not been functioning, which is another cause of concern. The teachers have put the responsibility of errors in the result on computerised system of the PEC. Students of Rawalpindi region deplored the poor computerized system of results as they are facing difficulties in searching for their results.

The Punjab Teachers Union, Rawalpindi chapter has already demanded rechecking of papers saying that it will change 80 percent of the results. When contacted District Education Officer Secondary, Noshaba Atta said that nothing is in her notice in this regard, adding that the said results are compiled by PEC Lahore.
