KARACHI - Four drug rehabilitation centres for the treatment of drug addicts will be established in Karachi.

List of these centres will be inaugurated in Landhi by Sindh IT Minister Raza Haroon in this week. Addressing a ceremony held by Drug Free Foundation in a local hotel to pay tribute to Shaheed Naveed Younis, KMC Administrator Hussain Syed said those were great human beings who put their life in danger for others and it gives motivation to the whole society if services of such people were appreciated at all levels. He said the drug addicts belong to ignored class of our society.

Haroon paid tributes to Shaheed Naveed Younis. He said he voluntarily gave his all to the people rejected by the society.

Wife of Shaheed Naveed Younis, Farheen Naveed said the mission of her late husband against the drug mafia will continue. She thanked the administrator for always appreciating and supporting their work. President of Drug Free Foundation, Sohail Younis said the life of Shaheed Naveed Younis was like a role model for all of us and soon a newspaper will be published by his name so that his mission could be carried on. He said Shaheed Naveed Younis had a relationship of love and affection with everyone and he also provided support to many families.

Rehmat Hashmi, Ameli of American Consulate and others also spoke on the occasion. They paid rich tributes to Shaheed Naveed Younis who was awarded Tamgha-e-Shujaat (medal of gallantry) in recognition of his services.
