LAHORE – PEB were struggling for 117 for the loss of five wickets in a group D match of the Grade II Patron’s Cricket Trophy here at the Railways Staidum on Tuesday.
Ameet Ravi made 37 and Hamza Ghanchi scored 27 runs. Earlier batting first Income Tax managed 214 all out in 61.2 overs. Thanks to Shahid Siddique who rescued his team from total collapse with a fine knock of 94 runs including 13 boundaries, while Yousaf Ali also made 59 to help his side to post reasonable total.
Ameet Ravi 4/1 and Zainullah 3/44 bowled well from PEB. Rana Zaheer and Akmal Hayat supervised the match while Shahid Butt acting as match referee. At Country Club, Muridke, Port Qasim team scored 45/2 at stump on the opening day of the tournament.
Earlier, put into bat first, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) piled up 337 all out in 74.2 overs. Rashid Butt (145) and Fawad Ali (102) helped their side to pile up big total with centuries. M Sami of Port Qasim grabbed 4 wickets for 67 runs. Umpires: Saifullah & Parvaiz Shah and Jamshed Hussain is a match referee. At Sheikhupura Stadium, Sheikhupura. ETPB scored 288 for the loss of seven wickets in 83 overs. Usman Shahid played a superb knock of 168 with 20 boundaries and four sixes while Tasleem Arif scored 27 runs.
In reply, Servis Industries had made 30 runs for the loss of three wickets at stumps. Javed Iqbal & M Asif are supervising the match while Ghulam Mustafa acting as match referee.

In Group A match at the Quaid-e-Azam Park Karachi, Customs piled up 379/9 in 83 overs. Israr made 106 while Asif scored 74, Fahim (56) and Amir Shah (64) also batted well. In reply, Pakistan Steel were 33-o at stumps.

At UBL Ground, No.1, Karachi, Omar Associates scored 281 all out in 82.4 overs. Hammad Ali Shah (62), Shahzad Malik (66), Imad Wasim (72) played well while Faraz Ahmed Khan took 6-117 from Navy.

In a group B match at Army Cricket Ground, Army made 258 in 73.2 overs. Sanaullah Khan (90) was the notable scorer. Hamza Murtaza grabbed 6-62 from CDA.

At Diamond Ground, Islamabad, Humak Engineering scored 235 all out in 69 overs.  Ahsan (54), Sheeraz (48), Yousuf (47) played well. Sadaf Hussain (3-42) and Atiq Maqbool (3-51) bowled well. In reply SSGC have scored 68-2 in 19 overs. Wajid Ali (23) and Naveed Yasin (34*) batted well. Sajid Afridi & M Arif acting as umpires and Asif Aslam is the match referee.
At National Ground, Islamabad, PTV were on top against Medicam as they scored 217/3 in 54 overs while replying to Medicam total of 144. Umar Khan made 65 and M Saad scored 54 Raheel (42) and Zeeshan (41) also batted well. From Medicam Shoaib Khan got 2/33.
