PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has said that his government has undertaken sincere practical measures for provision of accommodation facilities to people and the opening of new housing schemes at different places of the province was a testimony to it.

He was inaugurating computerised draw of plots allotment under Jirma Housing Scheme Kohat at his office on Tuesday. KP Housing Minister Amjad Afridi, Secretary Housing Department Zaki Ullah, DG Pakhtunkhwa Housing Authority Javed, Director Finance Sharif Ullah and officers of Habib Bank including Taqvim Hassan Karmani, Abdul Muneeb and Farman Qureshi were also present on the occasion.

The CM was informed of salient features of Jirma Housing Scheme. All basic life needs and facilities will be available to the inhabitants in the housing scheme. The scheme comprises of 300 kanal land containing 5 marla plots numbering 214 and 109 plots measuring 10 marla which were divided between government employees and general public categories. A total of 3125 application were received against total 323 plots. Amir Haider Khan Hoti lauded this project of housing department and hop that the scheme will be helpful in overcoming deficiency of modern and quality houses.

Meanwhile, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti approved upgradation of Government High School Srai Bala Talash district Lower Dir to higher secondary level on non-developmental basis and approved 17 posts from April 1, 2012 including one post each of Principal (BPS-18) and Director Physical Education (BPS-17), 10 Posts of Subject Specialist (BPS-17). The newly created posts included Senior Clerk (BPS-7), Laboratory Assistant (BPS-7) and one post each of Laboratory Attendant (BPS-1), Naib Qasid (BPS-1) and Chowkidar (BPS-1). The step of the government will assure secondary level education facilities to students of the area after metric and they were not be required to cover long distances for quenching their thirst for knowledge.
