KTI certificate distribution ceremony

LAHORE - Karigar Training Institute has held fourth certificate distribution ceremony at the premises of the Institute, says a Press release.  Trainees were awarded certificates and they qualified as motor cycle mechanics, plumbers, electricians and refrigeration & air-conditioning mechanics after successfully completing a six months course and passing the examination conducted by the Trade Testing Board, Sindh. Several trainees were also given tool kits as awards for obtaining exceptionally high grades.
The Institute was established in March, 2009, with funding provided by Mehviash & Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation, the charitable arm of JS Group companies. The Foundation is focused on providing health care, education and alleviation of poverty through a number of different initiatives. Karigar Training Institute which provides marketable skills to literate youth is one such initiative. Through acquisition of such skills, our youth not only earn a living but also promote social stability by becoming productive citizens. A number of such centres are planned for both young men and women throughout Pakistan, by adding 2-3 new centres each year.
The large gathering that attended the ceremony included trainees and their parents, as well as, dignitaries from different walks of life.
The chief guest was Ishrat Husain, Director Institute of Business Administration and former governor of State Bank of Pakistan. Other speakers included the chairman, Munawar Alam Siddiqui and Naveed Gilani, a director of the Institute.
