Modi to appeal against verdict in Cairns case

LONDON - Former Indian Premier League commissioner Lalit Modi has confirmed that he will appeal against the verdict that favours former Kiwi cricketer Chris Cairns. Cairns was awarded legal costs and 90,000 pounds in damages following a two-week trial over Modi’s tweet that alleged the former was involved in the match fixing in the now defunct Indian Cricket League (ICL).
