KARACHI - Leaders of various political and politico-religious parties on Tuesday, while branding the electoral rolls as “bogus”, demanded the government, chief justice of Pakistan and chief election commissioner to take immediate notice of the “fake voters’ lists”.  Addressing a multi-parties conference organized by Jamaat-e-Islami, the leaders threatened to stage a protest and sit-in if the matter was not resolved forthwith.

In a resolution, JI’s Mohammad Hussain Mehanti, PML-N’s Saleem Zia, JUP’s Siddique Rathor, AML leader Mahfooz Yar Khan, ST leader Matloob Awan and Ali Hassan Chandio of the SNM rejected the already-issued electoral lists and demanded the chief election commissioner to make new lists in accordance with the NADRA database.

They announced to hold a rally outside the Sindh Election Commission office to press for their demands.
