ISLAMABAD  - Due to the lack of funds, the residents have expressed concern over snail paced construction work on streets of Model Town Humak causing trouble for them.

Expressing outrage, the residents said that 10 streets of the area were to be carpeted at the cost of Rs nine million but the CDA’s finance wing has released only Rs two million so far.

They deplored CDA’s performance saying that despite directives of the National Assembly Standing Committee for Cabinet Division to redress the problems of model villages on priority basis, CDA was not paying due attention to expedite lingering construction work. The residents demanded of the chairman CDA to release funds for the project on emergency basis to ensure early completion of the dilapidated streets of the Model Town Humak.
