LAHORE  - NPT Chairman and The Nation Editor-in-Chief Dr Majid Nizami has reiterated that Kashmir would be freed, even if by struggle.
He expressed these views on his 86th birthday ceremony arranged by the Pakistan Movement Workers Trust on Thursday. Those who attended the ceremony included Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar, Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad, Pir Syed Muhammad Kabir Ali Shah, Mian Farooq Altaf, Zia Shahid, Maj-Gen (r) Rahat Latif, Dr Ajmal Niazi, Ch Naeem Hussain Chattha, Mian Ibrahim Tahir, Col (r) Ikram Ullah, Begum Mehnaz Rafi, Shahid Rashid, Prof Dr Parveen Khan, Begum Surayya, Asar Chohan, Dr MA Soofi, MA Shaida Advocate, Zulfikar Rahat, Riaz Fatiyana, Dr Yaqub Zia, Mirza Sadiq Jaral, Col (r) Amjad Hussain Sayyed, Allama Asghar Ali Kausar Waraich and people from various walks of life.
Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar greeted Dr Majid Nizami on his 86th birthday and hoped that he would complete his century and would see Pakistan transforming into an ideal Islamic, democratic and welfare state as envisaged by the Quaid-i-Azam and Allama Iqbal. Both the PM and the Punjab CM were leaving no stone unturned to achieve this very objective, the governor remarked.
Mian Farooq Altaf prayed for the good health of Dr Majid Nizami who never let the ideology of Pakistan be forgotten. Dr Majid Nizami is an institution, not merely an individual, he remarked.
Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad observed that Dr Majid Nizami was a beacon who had always kept alive the ideology of Pakistan. Ghulam Haider Wyne had got the building constructed whereas Dr Majid Nizami infused spirit into it and disseminated the ideology of Pakistan far and wide.
Daily Khabrain Editor-in-Chief Zia Shahid and Daily Naibaat Editor Ata-ur-Rehman also paid great tribute to the services of legend journalist who never compromised on his principles. They said that all the big journalists learnt a lot from Dr Majid Nizami .
Col (r) Amjad Hussain, Begum Bushra Rehman, Dr Parveen Khan, Begum Surraya Khurshid, Rana Arshad, Khursheed Ahmad, Farooq Azad and others also spoke on the occasion.
Dr Majid Nizami besides cutting cake on the occasion also inaugurated website highlighting the services of Dr Nizami on the occasion. 
Pir Syed Muhamamd Kabir Ali Shah paid tributes to Dr Majid Nizami and prayed for his good health and long life.
