The Livestock Department seized huge quantity of dead meat and arrested an accused here on Sunday. Acting on a tip-off, a team of the Livestock Department along with police started snap-checking of vehicles moving from and to Muzaffargarh. During search of a vehicle, the officials recovered five maunds of dead meat. The meat was being transported to Multan and was disposed of later. Driver of the vehicle was arrested and the police after registering a case against him, started raids to arrest other culprits involved in the illegal and immoral practice.–INP
