Woman gives birth to twins under supervision of 1122 staff

MUZFFARGARH    -   A woman gave birth to twins under supervision of 1122 staff while two nearby resident women performed delivery. According to details, a passerby informed Rescue 1122 that a woman in precarious condition was experiencing severe labour pain in the street near Alipur bypass.

On receiving attention call Rescue 1122 helped in time a woman to deliver twins in street. The District Emergency Officer Hussain Mian immediately responded to the call and sent ambulance at the site. The woman was put behind a screen to facilitate her delivery. She gave birth to twins under supervision of 1122 staff and with the help of two nearby resident women performed delivery. Both the babies were given oxygen at the site and after first aid protocols, mother and both babies were shifted to labour room of DHQ Hospital Muzaffargarh for further medical care.

1122 staff member Mohammad Naeem performed skillful according to SOPs and saved the life of mother and both newborns. The residents of the area told that the woman was Shazia wife of Asif who had left her and was residing in another city as a result she lost her mental balance and roam about in streets. The resident’s of the area take care of her meals and wearing.

Arrangements finalized for wheat procurement: DC

District administration has completed arrangements for wheat procurement as 17 wheat procurement centres including five permanent and 12 temporary have been set up across the district.

Presiding over a meeting to review arrangements here on Saturday, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ali Shahzad said that 184,557 metric ton wheat procurement had been set for the district. He said that distribution of gunny bags would be started from April 07 adding that farmers could get 500 bags from the centre while they had to get approval from district food controller for getting 1,000 gunny bags.

Deputy commissioner said that government has announced open policy for wheat procurement by keeping in view the food security. He said that government had announced Rs1800 per 40 kg as wheat support price in order to facilitate farmers.
