RAWALPINDI - The Rawal-pindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) is organising a three-day 'Industrial Expo from 6 to 8 August here at Topi Rakh, Ayub Park to promote the local products. President RCCI Kashif Shabbir informed this while presiding over a meeting of the RCCI Standing Committee for Expos here on Tuesday. The Chairman of the Committee, Abdul Rauf Chaudhry, Senior Vice President Syed Ali Raza Saeed Shah, Vice President Khawaja Abdul Rashid Waien and other members of the Chamber were also present on the occasion. Kashif Shabbir said that besides local, some international companies were also participating in the RCCI Industrial Expo. He said that basic purpose behind the Expo was to promote local products in the international trade markets. He further said that this kind of exhibition would help a lot to create the mutual understanding between the local and international businessmen community. RCCI President said that there was lack of convention centres in the region to conduct such type of expos for the promotion of local products. He demanded of the Government to establish a modern Expo Centre in the city for the benefit of the business community and country which is really a need of this time. Kashif Shabbir termed that commercial counsellors played a key role in enhancement of exports. If the commercial counsellors work effectively and accordingly the countrys exports volume will touch the figure of $30 billion, he said.
