New Zealand to provide $1.5 mln to flood-hit Pakistan

New Zealand will provide 2 million NZ dollars (1.5 million U.S. dollars) in emergency aid to Pakistan following severe floods there killing up to 1,500 people, Foreign Minister Murray McCully said in Port Vila on Wednesday. The 2 million NZ dollars donated by New Zealand would be shared between the Red Cross, United Nations and non-governmental organizations already in Pakistan, he added.
