LAHORE Punjab School won the McDonalds 5th National Inter School Swimming Championship that concluded here at the Aitchison College pool on Tuesday. The hosts school secured the second place in the two-day championship participated by over 150 swimmers from nearly 17 schools as claimed by the organisers. Moid Mustafa of City School was declared the best swimmer of the Super Boys event. Punjab School had secured 286 points by late Tuesday night and won the trophy while Aitchison got the second place with 215 points. Aitchison College Principal Faqir Ijazuddin was the chief guest of the prize distribution ceremony and gave the medals to the winners while Zoraiz Lashari, president Punjab Swimming Association was also present on the occasion. Bilal Butt, General Manager Marketing, was also among the guests. Final results: Under 10: 50m backstroke: Hamza Ataullah, Aitchison, Muhammad Rizwan, Wapda School, Shafaa, Punjab. Under-16: 100 freestyle: Amanullah, Aitchison, Salman Fasi, Nusrat Jehan, Muhammad Ans, FIMS. Under-14: 100 freestyle: Muhammad Yahya, Nasir High School, Sonil Rajis Wapda School, Shaharyar Punjab School. Under-12: 100 freestyle: Haidar Khan Punjab School, Haider Aziz Aitchison, Hamza, Waqas Welfare. Under-16: 100 breaststroke: Samiullah Punjab School, Abdullah, Zeeshan Wapda School. Super boys: 100 breaststroke: Naveed Yousuf, Sindh School, Muhammad Faheem UCL, Zaid Aslam Punjab School. Under-12: 100 breaststroke: Ans Zubair Punjab School, Umer Sultan, Hamza Malik.
