LAHORE State enemies are behind target-killings in Pakistan that are bent on spreading sectarianism in the country and to prove it a failed state. None of the independent countries can tolerate foreign interference or attacks within its boundaries, but Pakistan is experiencing both of these which clearly shows that our rulers have laid a red carpet here in interests of the US. This was stated by Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaquat Baloch, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Senior Vice-President Admiral (r) Javed Iqbal, PML-N MPA Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri and ex-Ambassador Javaid Hussain while addressing at TheNation Forum on the topic 'Drone Attacks, American interference and Target-killings in Pakistan - What is the solution here on Tuesday. The speakers unanimously realised the need for an independent foreign policy, self-dependence and unity among the masses, besides daring rulers to defend the interests of the country. Speaking on the occasion, Liquat Baloch alleged that America wanted to deface the strong Islamic civilisations of Afghanistan and Pakistan, adding that it was pursuing its agenda with full might to get hegemonic control over the region. Javed Iqbal said that the US wanted to capture the untapped resources of the central Asia and the former dictator had helped it to enter Afghanistan to fulfil its agenda. He said that by raising the slogan of 'enlightened moderation Pervez Musharraf had tried to destroy the nation while the present govt was still running the same policies. He said now it was the duty of the youth to stand against the US, as the rulers had no courage to face their master, America. Zaeem Qadri said that more than 80pc Pakistani people were not satisfied with the US interpretation of 'terrorism. Javaid Hussain said that the reason behind the drone attacks were the countrys dependency on others. He said Pakistans interference in Afghanistan in past created many problems for the country and the people. He said that a country without its strong economy and a nation without unification could not achieve development and preserve peace. The speakers condemned the target killing incidents in Karachi and the killing of MQM MPA Raza Haider. They were of the view that after the UK Prime Ministers statement against Pakistan, President Zardari should not have visited UK.
