Our Staff reporter NANKANA SAHIB - Private schools are neither working under any control of the District Education Department nor following any policy of the Punjab government in the district. Some private schools have already started their classes from the 1st August contrary to the Punjab government educational policy to open educational institutions from August 15 after summer vacations including celebrating Independence Day of Pakistan. Reportedly, some private schools were even warned against this open violation of the district and the Punjab government policy but they refused to even listen to any request in this regard from the parents of the student. Reportedly, there are some private schools whose managements have been violating the Punjab government policies starkly. Apparently, there is no check and balance and it seems as if these private education institutions have been enjoying a free hand from the District Education Department. When contacted, EDO Education Mr Tariq said that he was ignorant of any such violation and assured that he would direct all Deputy Education Officers to check and control this open violation of Punjab government education policy by some private school owners. Different public, social and literary circles expressed their concerns over the blatant violation of the govt polices, saying that opening of schools in such hot weather would great injustice with the children. They demanded the government to take stern action against the management of all such schools who were violating the government policies.
